Circa Mid 1970's. One of the first 'desktop' computers.
Came with 32k RAM and a BASIC ROM, but no disk drives.
Attaches to external 8050 single sided floppy disk drive or the double
sided 8250 unit via IEEE port.

of a medium sized business in the mid 1970's to mid 1980's.

serious games computer for the time. Additional peripherals also included an
external 5.25" floppy disk drive for serious gamers as well as the standard
tape deck for storage purposes. This example comes complete with the floppdy
disk drive and tape deck as well as several examples of games software.

used in schools. We have several examples of this unit, one of which is boxed

pack, 2nd tape deck and examples of software.

1983-1984. British built PC ran MsDos 2.11 and applications such as WordStar
3.3 & 3.4, Dbase II & Supercalc II & III, Tomorrows Office, Elite
and Pegasus accounts on two 3.5" floppy drives. Heavily used by UK companies
such as The Post Office and British Rail up until the early 1990's, this 256k
PC was faster and more compact than the original IBM PC. Although it ran MsDos
it was not fully IBM PC compatible.

ACT sirius with 256k RAM. Used by UK companies such as Allied Dunbar. Although
it ran MsDos it was not fully IBM PC compatible.

and display is orange. Software that may have been used would be WordPerfect 5,
Supercalc 5 and Dbase III. This type of laptop was popular in the early 1990's
with assurance companies such as Teachers Assurance.

use by a life assurance rep in the early 1990's demonstrating to a client,

3.11. With a colour screen at VGA resolution. This type of laptop computer was
becoming the norm with sales reps and most 'mobile' corporate types. Comes
complete with PCMCIA network adapter and modem.

often running large database systems such as stock control for warehousing
ssytems.
This unit also comes with a
similar sized disk rack (not shown). It would have been most at home running in
