Circa late 1950's. With BSR Monarch Mk I autochanger record deck in brown and gold. This unit is finished in two tone brown and beige vinyl with gold volume and tone knobs.

BSR Monarch Mk1 Autochanger
Circa Late 1950's Part of a kit that could be purchased, to 'Build your own Radiogram'. This type of BSR autochanger record decks were fitted to many Radiograms in the late 1950's, such as Regentone, Cossor and others. This example is finished in cream and gold with a brown rubber mat and comes complete with a Cossor VHF tuner in kit form.

Ideal placement would be in a middle class home of an electronics enthusiast as a kit, or in radiogram requiring close-up shots in the late 1950's

Circa late 1950's - One of the first stereo record players, it had two speakers in the cabinet, one on each side. It also had a BSR Monarch Mk I autochanger record deck in cream, rebadged as PYE.

Circa 1960 - Has a cream Collaro record deck and red rubber mat, cabinet finish is with grey and red textile, with cream knobs .

IIdeal placement would be in a bedroom of a teenager in the early 1960's playing jazz 78's.

Circa mid 1960's - At this time Bush had a highly fashionable design team and it showed with this unit. The record deck was a specially modified Mk3 BSR monarch in metallic blue with the 'shark nose' arm.

Ideal placement would be in the middle of a party in 1967 playing Rolling Stones singles.

Circa mid 1980's - One of the entry range B &O 'music centres' with a classical 'minimalist' design. It is finished in rosewood veneer and brushed metal and comes complete with original instruction manual.

Ideal placement would be in an open plan warehouse converted studio flat of a 'Yuppie' in around 1986.

Circa late 1978 - music centre. Has a black belt drive record deck, with cassette deck and three band radio. Finished in wood and brushed metal. Comes complete with smoked glass effect plastic lid (not shown) and period 'wood effect' formica-style chipboard cabinet.

Ideal placement would be in the lounge of an average household in the early 1980's
